Welcome to Joe's Fundraising Page!
On October 21st, I will ride in ‘Spin For Kids’ to raise money for Camp Twin Lakes, an incredible organization that provides camp programs for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. In 2017, Camp Twin Lakes served over 10,000 campers, leveraged support from 3,500 volunteers, and subsidized 70% ($550/week) of the direct camp costs for every camper served.
Last year I participated in Spin for Kids because I love biking, and it seemed like a great cause to participate in with a group of co-workers from Delta. Meeting many of the campers at least year’s event, and getting a flavor for their excitement and love of the camp, inspired me to come back this year with a greater focus on supporting Camp Twin Lakes’ mission.
I'm participating in this year’s Spin For Kids to make a difference in the lives of these campers. In a typical day at camp a camper could climb the rock wall for the first time, share a hidden talent at a talent show, learn about healthy eating through a fun cooking class, and make new friends who understand what it's like to take medicine every day or spend time in the hospital. This Camp gives kids an opportunity to build their confidence and capabilities without worrying about their extraordinary day to day challenges.
100% of the money you donate goes directly to campers at Camp Twin Lakes – and every $110 I raise funds a day of camp for a Camp Twin Lakes camper - so your gift will truly make a difference in a child's life. I hope you'll help me support Camp Twin Lakes!
